I am…
...blessed to have the vision to see what others are unaware of
and the gift to illuminate the obvious.
I wonder for many hours, living mostly in my head,
pondering why others aren’t fascinated
with quantum physics, the origin of stars or our relationship to water.
I hear sounds no longer appreciated,
like silence...
I see blessings in the trees,
in their shifting, swaying, luminescent leaves
with arms reaching towards a pregnant moon.
I want to know more.
Weave intellect with curiosity and feed my hungry mind.
I am blessed to have the vision to see what others are unaware of
and the gift to illuminate the obvious.
I pretend, I’m on a mission.
I feel, I really am.
I touch the hearts of old people, youngsters, homeless on the street
and see the universe in the twinkle of their eyes.
I worry often- too much, 'I’m not good enough',
'life is hard'...maybe,
'I’m wrong' or 'all alone'.
I cry when the sadness of worry swallows me whole,
when trees are cut, people go ignored, anger released, recyclables trashed.
I am blessed to have the vision to see what others are unaware of
and the gift to illuminate the obvious.
I understand it’s all in my head,
as it is in yours.
I say… 'thoughts become things', 'words are our passports'
and ask, 'where are we going'?
I dream... I’m validated, stable, at peace,
a yogi, an artist, a scientist of the streets.
I try to move forward,
one day at a time.
I hope to discover my purpose, my reason for
this path that I’m on.
I am blessed to have the vision to see what others are unaware of
and the gift to illuminate the obvious.
I realize this is my process
and this is my bliss.

Artists…
have an important role in society.
We hold a space
for communication,
a space
to decode the complex rhetoric
of the everyday.
Artists are the eyes
of the blind
who do not know they cannot see.
We are the hearts
of the blocked
who do not know they are confined.
We are the ears
of the deaf
who do not know how to listen.
We are the senses
of society
and the mouthpiece
for a message.
We are modern day shamans.
We are artists.

Infinite Source of energy
Connected to all
I can
and can't see
All there is
is all in me
I'm an
infinite source of energy
Blessed I am to be
Who this mystery
called me
Doesn't matter
if I can see
I AM
infinite source of energy!
